UFC INTERCAMPUS DAY

Wednesday, April 10, 2024, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

UC Davis Conference Center, 550 Alumni Lane, Davis

University Farm Circle invites members to join participants from UC Berkeley, UC Merced, and UC Santa Cruz, for a day of celebration, activity, communication, and exchange on the UC Davis Campus. The event marks the 110^th Birthday for Davis UFC.

The site for Intercampus Day is the Welcome Center Conference Center Ballrooms A and B.

Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. with a continental breakfast, followed by welcoming remarks by UFC President Abbie Morrison and campus leaders.

The program includes three speakers, who will give presentations, each followed by Q&A sessions:

• Lois Wolk, former California State Senator
• Dr. Tierra Smiley-Evans, Chief Veterinary and Scientific Officer for Gorilla Doctors, One Health Institute, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine
• Kara Leong, Executive Director, Integrative Center for Alternative Meat and Protein (iCAMP)

After a box lunch and a brief 110^th birthday cake celebration, participants will separate into one of five different tours: (please note, the first two choices are best for those with mobility issues)

• Tour 1:  Coffee Center Cupping Demonstration in the Conference Center
• Tour 2:  UC Davis Strawberry Breeding and Research Program in the Conference Center
• Tour 3:  California National Primate Research Center (shuttle provided)
• Tour 4:  Gorman Museum of Native American Art (walk)
• Tour 5:  Walking Tour of Robert Arneson's famous Egghead Sculptures, narrated by Historian Kathryn Olmsted

 It should be an educational and entertaining day for everyone involved!

RESERVATION WINDOW: Thursday February 15, 2024, through Wednesday March 20, 2024

Parking information will follow – expect a cost of $14. Car pooling is recommended.

Please Note: Since registration is limited, the fastest way to reserve a spot for this event is to reserve online. UFC members and participants from our sister campuses take priority. After March 10, registration will open for guests. Refunds will be made if the cancellation request is received before the March 20 reservation deadline.
