THEN: University Farm Circle was founded in 1914 to bring together the women associated with the University Farm—especially the female staff and faculty wives—to help the young boys at the school.

NOW: You do not need to be associated with the University to be a member. All are welcome!

If you are new to the community or to UFC, we invite you to join any of our Newcomers activities to get acquainted with our area and to meet other women.

The Spring Luncheon is historically the highlight of the year - a social gathering to celebrate all the old and new friendships developed over the years through UFC's programs and interest sections.  We welcome all members, but especially encourage Newcomers to share in this very special event.

The luncheon includes a short business meeting to introduce the new officers for the coming year, a hot and cold buffet, wine, and nonalcoholic drinks.  For entertainment, tables will play a "Heart to Heart" get-to-know-you conversation starter game with questions such as:

    • Name three things you like about yourself.
    • What blows your mind every time you think about it?
    • What's something you can never seem to finish?
    • When you are down, what makes you feel better?
In such pleasant company, this will be fun and help us get to know each other better.

    Cost: $40

RESERVATION WINDOW: Thursday February 15, 2024 through Thursday April 25, 2024

NOTE: Food, toiletries, and other essentials will be collected at the luncheon for The Pantry at UC Davis.  UFC helps keep The Pantry stocked so no UC Davis student misses a meal or lives without necessities.

What Can a $4,000 Scholarship Do?

  • Help pay for tuition

  • Pay lab fees

  • Provide necessities such as rent and food

  • Purchase books and technology

  • Provide a huge boost in self-confidence, which helps the student persevere on their path of achievement

  • Most importantly, save the student hours of work. At $15.00 per hour, it would take approximately 267 hours to earn $4,000. That’s a lot of time that could be spent studying!

Thanks to generous donations from members and others, UFC was able to give 11 talented UC Davis students scholarships of $4,000 each in 2022. In addition, we awarded $2,000 scholarships to two Yolo County graduates entering UC Davis.
